The Hardy Fuchsia is a shrub that has brightly colored flowers that are on long, slender stalks. The flowers are often a rich pink and purple but also come in combinations of red, pink and white. It produces many flowers during its long blooming season in the summer. It is grown as a pot plant and in hanging baskets, where its flowers can be enjoyed close-up. Flowers are pollinated by hummingbirds. Native to southern South America, where it grows as a shrub or s sub-shrub in temperate regions of southern Argentina and Chile. Grows up to 10 feet in height. Hardy in zones 6-9.
